The following schematic master plan was developed for the three subsequent phases of growth at the international airport in the city of Chiclayo, in northern Peru. In this process, future projections were considered, with the final stage aimed at serving up to 845,000 passengers. Expansion zones were established in a way that wouldn’t disrupt ongoing operations and would facilitate successive growth. Additionally, sustainability goals were set for future expansions, and the airport was designed with architectural elements that clearly reflect the rich cultural architectural heritage of the region.
