The beach house located on the costal south of Lima is a typology, which given its brief temporality, and dramatic contrast with the extended grey winter of the city, provides us an opportunity to exercise radical different strategies to that of the urban dwelling. The brief summer season associated to the maximum exterior enjoyment, takes us back to the starting point where the interior/exterior or the public and private spaces succeed in sequence, and horizontal and vertical circulation rely upon soft filtered sunlight that we propose as the main organizer element, be that, thru the use of the main central canopy, the vertical brise soleil over the east façade or the dramatic undulating beams over the main terrace.
