Hotel Patacancha
4,500 m2
2016
The Hotel placement and layout goes according the topographical terrain and as such is comprised of two levels and a basement. A great circular base serves as an organizing element over which bedrooms and terraces are arranged with views over the valley and below which, a series of leisure spaces such as fire pit, pools and market place have been organized. This volume serves as a natural retaining wall mixing it up with local readily available materials such as stone, mud and straw over the roof which assists the idea of locality. Within this retaining element the main building is organized containing public areas, articulating vertical segregation, accentuating typology and applying local materiality.
