This schematic study aimed to establish general guidelines for the layout and overall distribution of a national sports village, which would include maximizing space for sports with high demand for spectator attendance, such as a mixed-use indoor arena, velodrome, high-performance volleyball center, and more. The Peruvian Sports Institute’s goal was to propose Lima as the host city for the 2015 Pan American Games, and this master plan served that purpose. Four years later, it successfully achieved its ultimate objective.
