The 2019-2020 pandemic resoundingly uncovered the terrible inequities in health care and the glaring inability of health authorities to combat the virus and safeguard life. It was even more evident in third world countries where the numbers of infections and deaths multiplied compared to those recorded in first world countries. Confronted with this reality, our client, a mining company, estimated that without health the development of our societies was destined to fail. Our client located a property in one of the most populous areas in the south of Lima where health care is scarce in order to develop a clinic of the third type of resolution capacity. To do this, we were entrusted not only with its design but also with the programming of environments or hospital units that best contained the needs of the population to be served. A clinic was designed on 6 levels and 3 basements, with about 20 thousand square meters. On a property with a triangular floor plan with 3 fronts on intensely busy streets, 3 vertical flow cores were strategically arranged and around them vertically the diversity of the program was dispersed in a segregated manner, choosing to go from a more segregated access in the parts higher parts of the building to more public access in the lower parts of the building.
